Vivid uses xobile for cellphone trailers via barcode

How often is it that you're at the, uh, "video" store and can't narrow down a choice from a selection broad enough to make Jackie Treehorn flinch? Well, just download xobile's LeapScan-based software from Vivid's site (yes, that Vivid), and you'll be able to aim that cameraphone at a QR-code like barcode and get linked to a hosted video trailer. Vivid claims it'll be g-rated though, which is a bit counterintuitive since the barcodes in question are probably already on an box plastered with enough X-rated imagery to melt your glasses, but xobile hopes the technology they invented for mobile porn will take off for other vendors—didn't anyone tell them that QR codes have been around for years already?
