Xcute DV1 reviewed
Phoneyworld has a review of that crazy-looking Xcute DV1 whose main claim to fame (besides its, uh, funktastic fashion sense) is its 3 megapixel camera. As you'd hope, the still and video aspects of the camera don't disappoint. They also give high marks to the audio quality and media playback functions in general, but slam on some of the user interfacing such as the function cycler key which only only goes in one direction, so if you miss your function you've gotta scroll through the whole list all over again. They're also down on the complete lack of email functionality, the lack of Bluetooth and the character entry which uses something called "smartabc" instead of T9, which apparently pretty much sucks. What saves the phone is the multimedia quality, the TV out function, and the head-turning looks — if you're one of those people to whose phone attention must be paid.
