Mossberg down on the Pepper Pad

Good ol' Walt had a look at the Pepper Pad, the
Linux-based tablet device that wants to be a simple, convenient tool for surfing the web and playing digital media
around the house. Mossberg's not so hot on it, though — he reports it's not as easy or intuitive to use as claimed, and
that many of the built-in applications seem limited and rough around the edges. He's also not digging on the 2-3 hours
of battery life or the slow response times. Ultimately, the verdict is too expensive ($799) and too limited a device to
compete with a low-end laptop or cheap desktop machine.
[Thanks, Jordan]

Wow, that description goes a long way not only in describing the Pepper Pad, but also Linux OSs in general."not as easy or intuitive to use as claimed, and many of the built-in applications seem limited and rough around the edges." That's perfect.

Trolling? You obviously never tried Linux if you are claiming such nonsense, just because a company released a half-cooked product.

Wi-fi and small devices are not a good combination. From my experience with Wi-fi PDAs, Wi-Fi eats batteries.

This thing is OLD NEWS. Yes; it's way too expensive. Besides, if you need to surf even when you taking a shit.... get help.
