Fujitsu debuts lower-end Lifebook S2000, targets students

Fujitsu has launched a low-end version of its lightweight Lifebook notebook series, which seems to offer good value for the money — though low-end is a relative term, since the student-targeted LifeBook S2000 still starts at $1,299. For that price, you get a four-pound notebook with a 13-inch display, AMD Turion 64 at 1.6GHz and 40GB drive. Optional configurations include up to 100GB hard drives, 2GB of RAM and a dual-layer burner, though by the time you add in all the "options," this won't be much of a budget notebook anymore.
