New Sharp HD recorder?

Sounds like Sharp is keeping up with the bleeding edge of HDTV. Akihabara News spotted some information pertaining to upgrades in the Sharp DVR line. The updated models may support high-definition recording, which would help add to an otherwise light market in that area. Other models appear to have dual recording functionality with DVD and Blu-Ray disks. No word on if, when or where these will appear.

Last year, it was announced that Sharp would have a 400GB HDTV recorder, but we haven't seen any of those models. Hopefully, these new models become available in the United States. There just aren't enough HD PVRs out there to get the prices down to a competitive level.
