Aug. 10: What's on HDTV today

American Chopper

What we're watching and why:

I'm going to suggest two shows airing on Discovery HD tonight, as I can't decide on just one. First, there's Comet Collision! about NASA's successful efforts to view the inside of a 66,000 mph comet. The second is American Chopper, where the family dysfunction can be only get better in high def. Tonight, the shop is building the ultimate chopper to honor the officers of law enforcement. But before any work begins, the usual disagreements start.
