Review: Invisio Mobile headset delivers the goods, at a steep price
We have to admit to being seduced by the idea of using a
bone-induction noise-reducing headset. Beside the idea of better sound quality and a smaller device, there's also the
appeal of using military-transfer tech (damnit, our taxes paid for this, we may as well get something out of it!).
Unfortunately, the Jawbone,
the only serious offering in this space, is bulkier than we'd like, and at $150, more expensive than even most high-end
Bluetooth headsets. But now that the Jawbone has some competition from the Invisio Mobile from Nextlink, we're tempted
once again. After all, this one really is small; it consists of just a compact earbud (which can be custom-fitted to
your ear) and a thin wire that goes behind your ear to keep it from falling out. PocketNow tried one out in the noisy
environs of New York's Coney Island, and found that it really did cut down on a lot of ambient noise. However, they
also found some serious limitations, including the lack of a volume or answer button and the lack of a wireless
version. Oh, and at $325, it makes the Jawbone look like a bargain. Maybe we can apply to DARPA for a taxpayers'
discount.

I posted a down and dirty review of this on HowardForums.com . I did however fail to mention that the Invisio Mobile protects from eardrum perforation in the event of high explosives being set off around you :D. Seriously though, this is a great headset and works great with Windows Mobile 2003 SE in Voice Command.
