Dish Network HDTV software upgrades

If you have either of the newest Dish Network HDTV set-top boxes, check your System Information screen for the software version. Both the Dish 921 and the Dish 942 receiver have software upgrades that started spooling last week. The most recent version for the 921 model is L2.19 and the 942 model is at version L2.29.

Here are the reported fixes and upgrades in the L2.29 upgrade:

1. 110/119 Spotbeam transponder checkswitch support for Fairbanks and Puerto Rico smaller dish installs.
2. Pop-up reminder message support for delinquent accounts.
3. Some low-level changes from L227 for DISH 1000 support.

We're on the look out for the L2.19 release notes and will file an update if we get a hold of them. Remember, we reported a number of issues with prior upgrades on the 921, so proceed with caution.
