Samsung teams with Discovery for HDTV demos
Educating the public on HDTV is something we love to see. While this will also promote their products, we're happy to hear that Samsung is working with Discovery Communications to show HDTV all over the world. Samsung will be showing Discovery high-def content on over 30,000 HDTVs at various public venues.
Discovery has some of the best HD programming and once you watch it, you just get hooked. I can honestly say I've never seen HD on Discovery that didn't make my eyes pop! It's great that these two companies are showing off the technology and content, but I'd like so see more "basic" HDTV education. The programming will certainly get people interested, but how about explaining what equipment people need?
