Large screen choice leader: DLP
It seems like just yesterday we were announcing that 1080p HD sets were on the horizon. Whew, it still gives me shivers of excitement! Can you believe that there are currently 25 different 1080p models that are available? These crystal-clear creations are all in "large" and "Xtra-large" too: they range in size from 50- to 73-inches.
It turns out that microdisplays are actually outselling CRT and flat-panels in the "over 40 inch" category based on the breathtaking resolution and DLPs are leading the way. The timing is right too: while we don't have true 1080p broadcasts, we've got console games and high resolution DVDs right around the corner. I said it before and I'll say it again: 2006 is going to be the year for high-def!
