Quietly, oh so quietly, Motorola has been revising the specs on a number of high end phones they've announced but not yet shipped — highly-anticipated models like the PEBL, SLVR, E895 and the A910 are all going to be launching without EDGE data, doing GPRS connections only. According to a Moto spokesperson, the chipset they chose for the top of the line models just doesn't have a solid EDGE implementation, and it's way too late to swap out the chips now. Doh! No wonder they tried to do it quietly. Well, so much for that.
