Hack Hilton's cellphone, get 11 months and banned from the Internet
Kid, we might well be sitting up here defending your 17-year old ass for getting an 11 month judgment handed down to you for hacking Hilton's cellphone account and disseminating all that celebrity info, but you pleaded guilty to dropping two bomb threats, setting up phony cellphone accounts for your friends, and helping attack LexisNexis and exposing 300,000 consumers' info? We were gonna say you got a raw deal for ruining the heiress's weekend that one fateful Sunday, but there'll be no drawing of comparisons to Mitnick after you're released from juvie as an adult and have a two-year ban from getting on the Internet. May this be a lesson to the rest of you would-be hackers out there: try and have a clean record when taking down Paris, or the Engadget Legal Defense team just might not come to your aid.
