What if you add a new HD monitor to Windows Vista?

Windows Vista logo

I'm in the Vista beta, but I don't have a WMCE-capable desktop just yet. Hey, I'm a Tablet guy, what can I say? For the moment, we'll have to rely on some other folks to see if the next OS is "vistabulous" for the HDTV crowd.

One concern is the Digital Rights Management (DRM) that is expected by Microsoft. Similar how to previous hardware profiles used for authentication of Windows software, Vista may restrict user hardware changes. According to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), consumer could be limited by digital media industry players. Is it possible I could buy a new HDTV set and not have it work with a Vista-powered Media Center?

I'm looking for some other beta testers thoughts on this one, or a spare MCE PC, whichever is easier for you!
