QUAKE 4 is done--ships October 18th
id Software has announced, via their website, that QUAKE 4 has gone gold and will be available for retail on October 19th, just two weeks from today. The campaign begins where QUAKEII left off as players assume the role of Matthew Kane, a member of the Rhino Squad, on a mission to wipe out the Strogg once and for all. QUAKE4 will also feature a revamped multiplayer mode in the style and fashion of the beloved QUAKEIII Arena. No word yet concerning a definitive Xbox 360 release date.
