Shifting video content to a PSP is all the rage these days, and Hagiwara of Japan is about to release a product that promises to make the record-transfer process as easy as possible. The HNT-MDR is a video recording device that captures signals from a TV, DVR, or camcorder and writes directly to a MemoryStick Duo (or PRO Duo) card. Users have a choice of three recording modes (low: 192kbps at 15fps, medium: 384kbps at 15 fps, and high: 798kbps at 30fps) and can set the built-in timer to record while they're away. At the highest quality setting you can stuff 150 minutes of programming onto a 1GB card at QVGA resolution.
