Sign up for DSL, get a Nokia 770
Looking to get your hands on a Nokia 770? Sign up for DSL in Spain, apparently Wanadoo is planning to bundle the
internet tablet with new DSL service there. No specifics yet on what you've got to spend to get a "free" 770, but
they're promising to reveal all the details soon.

damn, i know i would change from optimum online cable online to verizon dsl if i got that baby for free. Btw cable is so much faster than dsl its not even funny but i guess you have to make sacrifices when money is involved.
it wont be too costly, just an arm or a leg
It's a shame that the offer comes from the worst DSL company in Spain, and; sure, you have to sign a contract that tie you for one year, or more, to the company.

I wouldn't mind just buying one of these babies.
Thing is, I don't need a PDA so much as need... a portable freakin' web browsing device. The only problem I'm seeing so far is that I'm a southpaw.
I wish Nokia would hurry up and release the thing.
I'm currently posting this from a PSP. I hope the 770 offers a better experience.
I live in Spain, so I will look forward to this :p
But Wanadoo has been bought by Orange, so I think this one will be the company behind this "gift".
I got one.

I don't like the form factor of these devices.. They can easily slip out of your hand because if you're holding it with your left hand, there is a tendency for the device to fall to the right..
Did somebody just say weeaboo? 'Cause I heard somebody say weeaboo.
moving to spain now =)
I got one.

350 euros!? OMFG, I thought they said US$300? At least it ships in November.
Do they through in an IP router with an integrate wifi access point ? Cause you're gonna need one of THOSE if you plan to use the 770 for it's intended purpose...

Ever consider a Mobilepro 780/790 ? Or maybe a Jornada 720 ?I owned both and used them in basically the role of in house free roaming web device. They were both great for that. I could access the web from pretty much anywhere in the house (including our three outdoor decks) without disturbing anyone or tying up a desktop PC. It was handy for looking stuff up on the spot when eating or conversing around the dinner table or hanging out in the living room when we had people over and such. Very convenient in the garage when I needed some quick into on whatever project I was working on out there. Best of all, they have keyboards, so you can even email (the Mobilepro was almost like typing on a real KB. You basically 2 finger type on a Jornada, but it's better than tap screen or handwritting recognition).
Just a thought, they're bother pretty cheap to acquire (especially the MP) and have long battery life...
Very cool! Nice pics ubi! Please continue to share your experiences! :)
Interesting, according to the current eBay auction description the 770 will offer VOIP services with the nest OS upgrade. Instant messaging as well.
Though I don't think IM will be too much fun without a KB.
But it is nice to see that it will support all the good ole MPEG formats. Kinda sad it only has RS-MMC instead of a CF slot, but ain't nothin' perfect (I also hope it's got a DSP or the vids will quite likely be a bit jerky...).
Looks interesting and definitely worth picking up in a year or two on ebay for ~$200.
