Zatz awesome: new HD Tivo box in 2006

Dave Zatz, who runs one of the better digital-entertainment blogs out there, held the TiVo folks hostage at DigitalLife last week. In a hastily scribbled ransom note, Dave demanded juicy TiVo information and the TiVo folks acquiesced. (There's the word of the day toilet paper again!).

First up were some cool software upgrades to extend recording if the networks decide to play naughty with show schedules: you know, those underhanded attempts to start a show two minutes after the hour, so we can't record 'em? Dave also got some additional info on the upcoming high-def TiVo box, although it looks like a mid-2006 introduction at best. No word on capacity or price just yet, so we'll wait for Dave to corner the TiVo folks at the next show.
