Pinnacle's Studio software peaks with HD support

Pinnacle Studio

Got one o' them high-definition camcorders that Richard was just mentioning last week? Well, you probably spent anywhere from two- to ten-grand, so what's another hundred clams or less? I'm talking about some editing software that brings those razor-sharp home-movies (or whatever it is your shooting with that HD camera; frankly we don't want to know) on to the big screen in the format and director's vision that you want.

There are plenty of good digital video software packages out there, but the recent release of Pinnacle's Studio v.10 caught my eye. There are three versions of Studio, each adding more features than the last and each under a $100 after rebate. The Plus and Media Suite versions offer full HD support with the following features:

  • Direct capture from an HD camcorder

  • Exporting to DivX, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and more

  • Dolby 5.1 support

  • High Def pan and zoom support

I'll be happy to spring for the software and write a review. Anybody wanna front me $10k for the HD camcorder? ;)
