It's a Hyundai, and it's cheaper today
Quick follow up to Matt's earlier post on LCD price drops: a Japanese retailer just read the story and cut the price on a 32-inch LCD to 720 Euros. [Matt: can you post a story on my mortgage payment getting slashed? Please??] The Hyundai HIT-3272 is a 720p LCD with a native resolution of 1366 x 768. Since we've taken to the Euro as well as we've taken to the Metrics system, I should mention that the cost in dollars is: $861.13.
Looks like this particular model is only available in Japan, but all of the signs are pointing to LCDs for less Euros, er...dollars. It also looks conspicuously like the HLT-3237 at WalMart, currently priced at $1.098. Wow, $237 more gets you a different letter in the product model name! Let's watch for a price drop on the U.S. version soon.
