LG stops selling tubes in Europe

Just like the title says: LG is going to stop selling tubes in Europe. Plan and simple. We all knew it was bound to happen eventually but, gosh, I didn't think it would be that quick. LG partners with Philips for many things and tubes are one of them. They stated that the reason for the dropping of CRTs is due to demand for them dropping 20 percent next year, which of course, will be followed, by an even bigger drop the following year.

The only exception to this is they are going to continue to sell their thin tube models that just came out. I wonder if it is because the dropped so much cash into them and just cannot bear to take them off the market yet. Whatever the reason it is only a matter of time till they too are taken off the market.
