The Sony Walkman W600i on Cingular?

Now there's a bizarre turn of events… while we can't confirm their ultimate plans for release of the device, Cingular's site very clearly has the W600i present in the same menu system that further confirmed the HTC's Wizard and Tornado's impending release. Remember, to date no carrier in the US has sold any Walkman Phones — Sony Ericsson chose to sell the first Walkman phone, the W800i, direct to consumers rather than deal with the carriers, who have so far been reluctant to carry any PC-tethered musicphone they think will eat into profits of the over-the-air music download services they're launching (Motorola's ROKR E1 is a notable exception). So have Sony Ericsson and and Cingular managed to work things out? We won't know for sure until an official announcement is made.
