Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 7-40 LCD HDTV

bang and olufsen

Everyone loves Bang & Olufsen stuff. They fall under the category of "things I would buy if I had a lot of money." Even if money wasn't in the picture, I think most of us agree that their products are just WAY overpriced. They are releasing a new TV however, that takes styling cues from Samsung's pedestal DLP. I can't tell you what type of LCD, nor can I tell you nominal things like resolution or brightness, because we are supposed to take B&O's word that it is just really good. (think Bose speakers)

The TV does have some cool features, however. You can rotate or tilt the screen any-which-way via the remote. Also, the TV adjusts the picture depending on lighting conditions when the TV is turned on, and then continuously monitors and adjusts while it's on. Sound is piped from built in stereo speakers, or you can connect B&O loudspeakers and utilize the built in center speaker for, what I'm sure is, an awesome sound experience. Oh, it has a built in DVD player too.

No word on price yet, but this is from the same company that sells a screen-less mono mp3/wma radio alarm clock for $850 so the TV must cost a tad more then the Samsung equivalent.
