The Mac Vision MC3007
You'd think an electronics company would know better than to tempt the Wrath of Jobs and call themselves Mac Vision, but we just got tipped off to the MC3007, Mac Vision's new portable video player with a 7-inch LCD screen, a 40GB hard drive, an SD memory card slot, support for playback of WMA and MP3 audio files and AVI, WMV, and MPEG4 video files, and "supper powerful sound effect." Apparently squeezing in all that "supper powerful" sound requires a little extra heft — they list the MC3007 as weighing 2.64 pounds, which is almost nine times as heavy as a 30GB iPod with video, which comes in at 4.8 ounces) and over five times as much as the Creative Zen Vision, which weighs 8.43 ounces. We seriously hope that's just a typo or a shipping weight.
