HTC Prophet live pics
Last month we saw a rumor for the forthcoming HTC
Prophet, what was supposed to be a slimmer follow-up to the
HTC Magician. Looks like the rumor was
fairly spot on, some pictures have surfaced on a Swedish news site that refers to the phone as the possible Qtek S200,
and though it looks rather the same size as the Magician, it is packing the Windows Mobile 5, EDGE data, and FM
radio niceties we were speculating about earlier. Still no word on the carrier or release date as far as we can
tell, but we must admit our Swedish skills have grown lax in recent years.
Update: Actually, it looks like there is no FM radio, the phone is due early next year, and the price will be
set around $500-$550 US. Thanks, Squirrel!

Some bits of translation:
No FM-radio, sadly.
Release early next year (whatever that means (Q1? First half?)).
Expected price: ~$500-550
Im thinking T-Mobile about
250-350
Is everyone with a pda phone like, either wealthy or incredibly impatient?
People buys these phones only to go for a smaller version with pretty much the same crappy features.
Why not just wait until they design a pda phone with everything on top, particularly GPS?
What is the name of the one coming to Cingular?
makes me have second thoughts about wether or not I should get the HTC from Cingular when it comes out.
Hmm... Only 64mb ram? That's cutting it pretty fine unless WM5 is a lot more lean than the current versions.
N.
With EDGE is almost certainly for the North American market.
I've got a Magician and i'm really interested to know if theres an upgrade/installer to put win mo5 on it. Anyone?
If you would prefer to buy the real thing. I suggest you visit www.dopod.com. They actually build and sell the phone under their own name. As well you might see they have many OEM customers similar to www.macpower.com.tw who makes hard drive enclosures etc.
Isn't this the O2 Xda Atom?

2MP camera, tri-band EDGE, FM radio, WM 5.0, 416MHz proc all in that small package.
Yummy.
What's that for a "Today"-Screen Plugin running on the O2 XDA?
This is one i really would like. Would be a nice upgrade from my Qtec S100. Like better camera, newer OS and edge. Builtin wifi? My spectec wificard is a pain to use since I also use tomtom
