That's the word from a representative of the Taiwanese disc maker. While he comments that it would only take them a month to install the equipment for producing Blu-ray or HD-DVD discs, they are focusing on cranking up the production of dual-layer DVD's.

In his mind, it always comes back to the same issue, price, and how much is too much for customers.  He doesn't specify but obviously feels the switchover to any next-generation DVD technology is out a ways, when most people are still backing up their data and movies to single layer DVD's.
