NEC's N701i ECO corn-based phone
NEC is busting out an edible environmentally
friendly phone, the N701i ECO, to match their corn
laptops. The phone body is made up of 75 percent plant materials, including corn and potatoes. Once disposed of (we
hope not before) the phone eventually becomes water and carbon dioxide, leaving the earth free from housing another
lame out-of-date phone. Seriously guys, not even mother nature wants to be caught toting that old black and white
screened Nokia of yours, or this Bluetooth-less N701i.
She's gotta represent.

LOOks like a fone for DOcoMO...but nways corn based plastics are the future.....hope to see more of this...
(Title) Nokia? NEC you mean?
I like the look of this phone. Very "2001:ASO" looking. Just needs that big red lens.
Is it edible in a pinch?
If it were edible, could you then say you had to answer a call of nature?
You know you are exposed to too much radiation if the phone turns to popcorn.
Old news! This handset was released on the first of October.
Latest choice for a southern U.S. restaurant patron: hominy grits and corn phone.
Seems like a lot of carbos. I want a phone that gives me a balanced diet.
bill hudgins: HAHA! Nice.
Soon we'll make everything out of corn and then in a 1000 years there'll be nothing left to show our monkey overlords that we once ate at tables and read emails on our phones while pooping too.
(the robot overlord thing didnt last... cause we made them out of corn)
"Get your hands off me you damn dirty ape!"
Great more CO2/greenhouse gases to slow down our planetary domination...
