Sanyo HDTVs feature 10k hour bulb
It's about time someone started providing super-long life bulbs with their high-def sets. Sanyo's new 55- and 60-inch LCDs feature a 10,000 hour bulb, which figures out to 1,250 eight-hour days of HDTV for you math types. Other nice-to-haves include a 15-second startup time and a standby feature that allows for viewing up to four minutes after powering off, saving you the hassle of a restart. While these aren't monster sized like other sets, the PLV-55WHD1 and PLV-65WHD1 are both 720p-capable via the three LCD panels; no word on price or availability just yet.
