Ever-astute Engadget reader Adam W was perusing the new version of Moto's phone tools and happened upon
a skin in the system for the ROKR E3. Of course, we have no way of guaranteeing this is indicative of anything except
the fact that there's a skin in their software labeled E3, but after the
ROKR E2 rang true to our
previously leaked shots, we are having continually
harder time believing the E3 isn't the
same device we've been seeing around
(starting at
Motonow last year).
The button in the middle is 5 way-navigation-key (joystick). So the 2 key is not a problem.

Ted Smith, can u please keep your comments relevent.
IT IS VERY TURE! After reading this i went in to my MPT Program which i just got and found it! Its under "Moto_E3". Well thier ya go!
Just when you thought Motorola's keyboard design couldn't get worse. This is absolute garbage. What possible benefit is there of having crooked rows of numbers? And now we have the 2 button in place of the down arrow? So if you use the navigation pad to move into a field that takes numbers, it suddenly stops moving the cursor and starts entering 2s?
POS.
However this phone cann't protect you like this motorola.

the camara in the front suggests 3g capabilities
since it has a front camera so i am assuming it's a 3G version of the Rokr.
The down key doesn't do anything while texting anyway. I can't see it being more than a minute inconvenience.
I s'pose it could be a bit weird navigating fields, but I'm sure Motorola can find a way around it.
This is a 3G phone. I know you won't believe me but I know from personal experience that this phone was sh*tcanned YET sent to a Moto design group in Europe to be "finished". Rest assured that whenever that happens, the phone is destined for doom. The reason it was sh*tcanned was because Vodafone saw it and said "WTF, please tell us that it is just proto-plastic." When some VP at Moto said no, the carrier dropped support for it. It is butt ugly, the keypad is complete ass and near unusable. The hardware inside of it though is pretty sweet but honestly who cares if it looks like shit......
I'm less then excited about that number pad. It's such a pain to try and dial with one hand when the numbers are that low, especially if you don't have tiny women hands.
These phone designers need to think more about ergonomics or it needs to be a higher priority. I'm less then impressed. This isn't an iPod, so why is the center wheel so big.
I'm not impressed.
