New Sony Bravias on the way

Sony
Bravia

The best time of the year is almost here. Christmas and Superbowl has nothing on new TV season. Samsung already announced their new LED DLPs and Sony is next with not only new models, but also, new series in their Bravia line.

The new models and line draws upon the success of Sony's current Bravia offerings. They trimmed up the bezel, added features, and lowered the price. The S series has a ATSC tuner, light sensing backlighting, 1-bit video processor, and a space saving design with speakers on the bottom. The 46-inch MSRPs at $4,499, 40-inch $2,999, 32-inch $1,999, and the 26-inch at $1,499.

The U series has the same picture quality but lacks consumer level features, like an ATSC and the light sensing backlighting. These guys are a bit cheaper because of the missing features. The 40-inch MSRPs at $2,799, and the 32-inch at $1,699.

Sony has all these models up on their website with a auto notify option of when they will be available to pre-order.

If this is a sign of the times, we are going to see a lot of LCDs this year.
