HDTV advertising is out of focus

We realize that Best Buy is trying to sell TVs educate consumers, but tomorrow's print ad is pitiful. They got the first phrase right because HDTV does feature "1080 or 720 horizontal lines", but each does not consist of 1920 pixels; that would apply to a 1920 x 1080 display, but not to a typical 1280 x 720 display. We get what the ad was going after in the last section with the reference to "480 lines, 720 each" but that took a few reads to get their drift. What's the best part of the Best Buy ad? The last sentence of course, "Now that's clear."

Why is it so difficult to put some clarity around the HDTV ads and help educate consumers? If you could re-write this section of their ad, how would you write it?
