DS redesign pushed back

DS

David Yarnton, GM for Nintendo of UK, has apparently further quashed rumors of an imminent Nintendo DS redesign. Mr. Yarton pushes the potential date for a redesign way out and past this year's E3 conference. According to DSAdvance, when Yarton was asked for some hard facts on the potential redesign, he replied,"That's been rumoured, I don't know for how long, but we haven't got any plans at the moment. Nothing I know of."

Certainly this all could be a massive disinformation campaign on the part of Nintendo, but, if that is the case, there are better ways to dodge the question than stating that there is nothing in the works. We tend to believe that a Nintendo DS redesign is further off than the market might wish to believe.

Of course, we don't need Nintendo to tell us a redesign isn't just around the corner. The all-knowing geniuses right here at DS Fanboy have already told you not to expect a new DS until next year. We said it wouldn't happen on Monday and we said it wouldn't happen at E3. We love being right... so far.
