The Centaur -- a non-Segway for the military

We don't think the military gets many of its ideas from the Chronicles of Narnia, but former Navy tech Dennis Buller decided that basing a new form of transportation for overloaded infantryman on a centaur would be totally awesome, and did just that. The Centaur (no, not that Centaur) runs at about eight miles an hour, helps you lug all the gear you need, and still leave your hands free for wielding your weapon of choice -- in Dennis' case, a nice yellow whiffle ball bat for whupping on baddies. He says his next move is to double the speed, and maybe even add stair climbing, but we just can't wait to use this for taking down a few Segway users, plastic bat style.
