Activision hints at a GUN sequel
While noting that sales of GUN were less than expected, Activision revealed during a financial conference call that GUN sold the best among new game property and hinted that a sequel to the title may be in development. Given the company's lackluster apology to The Association for American Indian Development (and refusal to recall and edit the original title), it does not seem like Activision is going to let a little controversy get in the way of a potentially profitable intellectual property.
No official word on a GUN 2 yet, but we would be surprised if Activision did not build a franchise out of its best selling non-sequel.
