I still have a 1.5 PSP. I will never upgrade it.
To have homebrew work on PSP you need to have 1.5 Firmware or Custom Firmware. If you have 1.5 you should upgrade to CUSTOM firmware (google it).
I understand why Sony fights this homebrew stuff but they would well served to release a "developers PSP" so to speak. In the grand scheme techies like us make up only a small portion of PSP sales and the benefit they could get back by letting us see what we can get out of their hardware would be tenfold.
With how much power the PSP packs I bet the Homebrew community could make it a must have item if give free reign with it.
Ford embraced the "overclocker" crowd with it's SVO efforts, and even venerable VW does the speed thing too with it's "Get Your Fast" promotion... and we all know about the Honda "R" crowd... fart can mufflers and all.
so why not let Sony PSP owners do it?
... because those same hacks also are thickly mixed into the efforts to rip games.
It's ashame that Sony doesn't try to find middle ground.
and AGAIN, homebrew released a groundbreaking application before Nintendo (the homebrew community was the first one to make an application connect to the internet, before the first wifi game).
I'm sorry? What does Nintendo have to do with this? Is it at all possible to sperate these two products, without bringing up the other?
The DS had flash before the PSP. HAHA.
Umm... does this work on psp 2.6?
please say yes!!!
