Samsung has added two new models to its PVA lineup of LCD TVs. The new screens, available in 32 and 40-inch
models, have a solid 6ms response rate and 5000:1 contrast ratio. The company has tagged these "Bordeaux,"
for no reason we can see other than the fact that it gave Samsung an excuse to introduce them with pics of a model
holding a glass of red wine. Both models (the TVs, not the one holding the wine) look pretty good, with integrated
bases, a slim profile and on-bezel controls. No word yet on pricing or release dates.
Well... NOW I get it:
"If only fasciation with it is an enter reel, thu it enjoys and the game whole aspect modes to aim the layer and 2 AV terminals in the side and the back side with sweet right and left it moves, ` su above pul the stand ` to degree side overlook it will be able to watch in order from which angle to establish it planned."
Gotta love Google translations.
Lol: that's one of the best Google translations I've ever seen! And by "best" I mean "most incomprehensible, totally random accumulations of words."
Best part: "Samsung Electronics in order to propel the consumer intention marketing which stimulates opposite sex and a sensitivity composes the last year 7 monthly instalment sprouting TF team, global len ching to prepare, it comes and time limit simultaneously it will dance with start the last month candle Europe area the Americas, the Chinese gadfly ` Bordeaux ` there is."
So, Samsung marketing is all about stimulating the opposite sex, eh? Clearly dancing is important...
I like to put my hands on one of these babies. I been trying to buy a flat panel screen tv for a while -but I think I will wait -the prices are still too high. Perhaps the quality might be even better with cheaper price tag in a year or so. NO hurries. Keep them bringing SamSuck.
Bordeaux is a classy name for an LCD...
...but Hit's still got them beat with WOOO.
As I have been surfing the www to find a good LCD TV, I ran into this model already a few weeks ago. I am in the UK, and the model number for the 32" is: LE32R74BDX and it includes a digital TV tuner.
It is released here in the UK next week, and pricing is similar to that of the LE32R41BDX model, ie CHEAPER than the LE32M51B models!
Its a steal at around £850 and with its "Game Mode" option it looks to complement my Xbox360 well. :)
Do we know what the resolution is for these LCD's?
5000:1 for an LCD? Sounds impossible without dynamic brightness control, which means that you won't get anywhere near that contrast ratio when you have both dark and bright objects in a scene. Not to mention that dynamic brightness products are annoying because of the constantly changing brightness. Wonder what the native contrast really is?
