Best Buy's take on the high-def DVD format war: very, very bad

Us consumers are not the only ones that don't like, nor want, the current format wars. Best Buy's CEO Brad Anderson doesn't want it ether and is stating that it could be disastrous for the industry. These format wars can be hard on retailers if they choose the wrong one to support and therefore advertise. What if they choose the wrong one and the format tanks? (think DIVX and Circuit City) We would think that they would choose the format that are good for the consumer but yet make them more money. While HD DVD is great option in terms of price, Blu-ray does have more studio support and seems to have a better price margin.

If you were Big Blue Brad Anderson, would you back Blu-ray or HD DVD...why?
