We're holding out for the ever ubiquitous gloved-hand kite, but man, we really do need to get out of the house a little more often. And yes, the WindFire Cursor kite is real. Just don't wave it around too fast, you could put someone's window out with one of these. (Sorry, had to.)
I also thought that the cursor was added. This is a really nifty kite, but I wonder if it works that well in real life. This could be great for perspective photography with scantily clad women in the background.
I contacted them about purchasing a kite but they sent me this reply

I thought the cursor was the blinking bar when your typing. Realy thought that it was gonna be a chinese gate kite. That would have been bomb, like the RC airplane lawnmower, or witch on broom
A cursor is a generic term, a mouse pointer icon is a cursor. But a cursor is not just a mouse pointer icon. I.e. "Mouse Pointer" is a sub-set of "Cursor".
