Those Verizon folks looking for a clamshell with a little less wallet-emptying power than the Samsung A990 might take a gander at the new LG VX5300, a modest update to the venerable VX5200 introduced last year. Besides looking a bit comelier than the 5200, the 5300 adds Bluetooth -- dial-up networking and all -- and boosts the 65,000-color 160 x 128 display to 262K colors. The midrange flip is available as we speak for $50 to $150, depending on contract and rebates. Don't run, now; you might hurt yourselves.
