Philips Pronto Pro TSU9600 mega remote at CEDIA?
From what we're told, Philips is keeping tight lipped about their latest Pronto megamote, but it sounds like they're close to launching it at the CEDIA home entertainment expo coming up next month. Supposedly the TSU-9600 will feature everything from a 3.7-inch VGA touchscreen display to IR and wireless extenders, a soft touch finish, and features improved IR learning, PC macro downloads, even voice recognition. This is sure to be one of those you can't afford it if you have to ask the price scenarios, but we'll keep you apprised as to its existence (or arrival, as it were) when the time comes.

its a TV to watch your TV?
whats the point lol? What more does it do that CNN, TWC, and TV Guide don't already do for me.
Plus, i still watch a 6y/o 27 inch Zenith, so I'm guessing this just isnt being marketed towards me :)
Wow, this is something to look forward to.
To bad it looks like crap... like most of the philips devices. Philips is great at making stuff but they really should get a better designer.
Actually, doesn't look half bad and the black/silver goes well by me and my equipment.
Doesn't look like crap whoever said that. This thing looks freakin sweet. It looks like it should come with a 40GB hard drive and play media and mp3's as well. I'd want this if it weren't so expensive. I bought my friend a $200 Pronto for Christmas one year. You could load in your own graphics or your own custom startup logo. It was great.
Following the link to that website and reading the comments were funny because someone spammed the comments with some racial slurs and then the last guy says "What is the webmaster going to do? Ping him to death?"
I don't know, seems a large expense for something that isn't really any better than Logitech's Harmony remotes. Now I'm sure this thing is more flexible than the Harmony's, but for some 95% of people needing a upper scale programmable remote, the harmony is going to work better. Even fits in your hand. I thought long and hard about the Pronto's, but logically the harmony did everything I needed and had a MUCH better setup process. My 2 cents anyway.
Looks like comments on the actual website have been closed.
This control device is aimed at the entry level whole house market. From what I understand, it will have wireless extenders to control RS232, contact closures, relays and IR devices. This will give you the ability to integrate lights, shades, HVAC, media devices, etc. It's like a user friendly Crestron controller.
Dear sir it's wonderful but how can i buy it and where i'am in U.A.E Dubai
