FCC approves a GSM 850 / 1900 Chocolate?

Here's what we know: the MG800 is a variant of LG's Chocolate slider that appears to be making the rounds in Mexico. That in itself is not big news -- it's a GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 variant with 128MB of internal flash that looks very much like other non-US Chocolate sliders we've all seen. What is big news, however, is that an "MG800D" has just come across the FCC wires, and though there aren't any pictures to feast our eyes upon, the SAR report indicates it's a slider; we can pretty much guess it's a modified MG800. Modified how, you ask? The MG800D rocks GSM 850 support, that's how. What exactly this means for Verizon's so-called lifetime exclusivity on the Chocolate in the US, we don't know, but we can't imagine this thing is bound for anywhere but North America.
