Sony's next-gen projector: the Diamond?

CEDIA just finished and there are already rumors circulating about Sony's next projector that might be called the Diamond. The word on the street is that this unit might be aimed at replacing the Ruby with a price in the $8,000 to $9,000 range. We don't have many details but it would make sense for the Diamond to utilize the xenon lamp currently employed by the Ruby and Qualia along with being based on Sony's 1080p SXRD technology. The Ruby must be pushing the end of its life-cycle so maybe the Diamond is its replacement. We will keep you updated on deets when as they trickle in.
