Gears selling like it's supposed to

mo' money, mo' problems

Microsoft wants us to be impressed. In just six weeks, Gears of War has reportedly sold more than 2 million copies, making Epic's shooter the fastest-selling Xbox-exclusive ever (Halo 2's coming to PC, remember?).

But really, achievement that this is, would anything less be acceptable? With all the hype and marketing that's gone into Gears -- and the headstart Microsoft has had on cultivating an Xbox 360 install base -- this game had best be the fastest-selling title of its generation this year.
