Blue teeches u 2 Burning Croosaid (also CoH is being looked at)

Here's a couple of notes on what you need to do, once you've got your claws on a copy of the expansion, to play.

First, don't delete the WoW-2.0.0-to-2.0.3 patch. Apparently BC needs this patch to install, which makes sense, since the expansion went gold long before 2.0.3 rolled out. From Nethaera:

  • As the Burning Crusade expansion was finished prior to the most current patch versions it will be necessary to re-patch to 2.0.3 once the expansion is installed. As some players remove their patches after they have been applied we would like to provide a helpful warning not to delete the "2.0.0-to-2.0.3" patch file as it will be required after the Burning Crusade is installed.

Secondly, you will very definitely need a physical copy of the BC discs to install. Furthermore, you will need a CD key for each of your accounts to upgrade them to BC accounts. Also from Neth:

  • Your key will upgrade the account itself. Anything you need to load up is going to be machine specific. So if for instance, you play on two machines (laptop and home pc) as long as they have the software loaded and you have the key enabled, you will be able to play your account on either machine.

BTW. You will need to load using the CD in order to have access to the Burning Crusade as well.

Edit: I should have clarified this earlier. It becomes clear later in the thread that by "load," Neth means "install." You don't need to have the CD every time you want to play the game, you just need to install using it.
Lastly, speaking of how to install BC, Vaneras comes at us with the following:

  • "Circle of Healing" is still going to be looked at. We don't know when however, nor do we know exactly what, if anything, will be done with it. It is, however, something under consideration for further adjustments.

Pain Suppression isn't anything that is planned to be changed in any way at this point in time.

OK, so maybe that didn't have anything to do with installing BC, and yes, maybe I just tacked it on because it wasn't big enough news to merit its own post. Doesn't mean we can't be happy about it anyway!
