VC Monday Madness: video wrap-up 5/21/07
We've had enough time to give this week's releases a quick play through, film our exploits and upload them to the interweb, producing the embedded video you see above. Of course, as with our VC Monday Madness coverage of the Virtual Console releases every week, we also offer some images and text past the post break, if you're one who has an issue with GT or videos in general.
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (SNES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points)

Donkey Kong Country was a fantastic game and its sequel follows in its footsteps. If you were one of the few who disliked the original, then there isn't much here for you to get excited about. If you weren't, then this game is going to satisfy you in a lot of the same ways the original did.
Blazing Lazers (TurboGrafx16, 1 player, 600 Wii Points)

We love shoot-em-ups and having never played this game, found ourselves immediately hooked. It's fast-paced, with a lot of different weapons available. For only 600 points, we'd be hard-pressed to come up with a reason not to download this.
Streets of Rage 2 (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points)

Much like shoot-em-ups, we have a soft spot in our heart for the beat-em-ups of old, so this game is another easy recommendation from us. This time, offering up four different characters to choose from, we find the original formula has been tweaked just a tad. So if mindless violence is your kind of thing, Streets of Rage 2 is going to be the game for you.
