J.D. Power's 2007 results on handset feature satisfaction

We frequently see studies that talk about how wireless customers like the carrier they are with. But many times, we're more interested in seeing how wireless subscribers like the devices they use. J.D. Power and Associates has just released the results from its "Wireless Mobile Phone Evaluation Study" that measured customer satisfaction on handset performance by wireless users. The five factors measured on handsets in this study included physical design, operation, features, durability and battery life. In overall results, Motorola and Sanyo were tops, with Samsung and LG also seeing above-average marks. Clamshell owners outweighed candy bar owners (69% to 29%) and customers were also found to be holding on to their handsets for just under 18 months on average, while using the speakerphone, camera and text messaging as the top features.
