Object pricing showstopper

In the last few days, Second LifeJIRA issue SVC-930 has attracted more and more attention. Linden Lab now calls it a showstopper - which pretty much means that nothing else that interferes with correcting it should be taking place.

First noted late on Thursday night after Thursday's rolling restart the bug relates to how objects are taken into inventory, and how they are re-rezzed in-world.

One of the lesser-known (but really) handy things you can do in Second Life is take objects as a group. That is, you can select a group of objects (by all the various means you can use to do that) as if you were about to link them (but there's no particular restrictions on a group take), and instead select TAKE or TAKE COPY.

The whole lot winds up in your inventory as a single entry, which you can then re-rez at will, with every prim and object in place, relative to the point you're rezzing it at, and since there are no prim limits you can grab multiple objects this way, even if they exceeded the capacity for linking. Whole buildings and more. Nothing changed.

Well, until this bug came along, anyway.

If you have any objects or prims set for sale in the group, this bug causes every object and prim to be set for sale for the same price. This is not what you want. Expect an urgent rolling restart with fresh code within the next 48 hours or so.
