PS Fanboy Best of 2007: Best Shooter

Stay tuned all this week as we reveal the our nominees for the very best games of 2007. Winners will be declared on December 27th.

Who doesn't like shooting things? PSP had more than its fair share of bullets and explosions. Which games made you more of a man this year?

And the nominees for PSP Fanboy - Best Shooter of 2007 are:

Chili Con Carnage
Deadline Interactive | Eidos

Chili Con Carnage was largely ignored by the PSP audience when it hit the portable early this year. That's too bad, because the over-the-top shooter encouraged mayhem and chaos in its zany Tex Mex-flavored story. The arcadey action was perfect for on-the-go gaming and definitely deserves another look.

Medal of Honor Heroes 2
EA Canada | Electronic Arts

Medal of Honor Heroes is considered by many to be the finest controlling FPS on the PSP. The sequel continues the tradition set by the original. The graphics are improved, and the controls even further tightened. All in all, it's a solid FPS game.

Metal Slug Anthology
Terminal Reality | SNK Playmore

This collection of Metal Slug games shows why the franchise is so revered amongst hardcore gamers. The brutal difficulty will undoubtedly scare away many gamers, but those that enjoy a bit of pain in gaming will find the non-stop action of Metal Slug to be exactly what they want.
