Panasonic's CES booth tour
What you're looking at up there is just one of dozens of mysterious items in Panasonic's booth here at CES. The booth fully supports Panny's theme for CES 2007: Living in High Definition. However, they're also trying hard to drive home their unofficial theme: "You're an idiot if you buy an LCD larger than 42-inches." Check the gallery below to see girls on a beach staked by high-zoom cameras and the creepy men this attracts. When you recover from that, test your skills at detecting the difference in 1080p vs. 720p panels -- most in the booth could not, can you?

Wow! Some of those products are such copies of Samsung. They look exactly the same...

Ok, I thought I was funny, but now I am actually just confused, whose booth are those pictures from and where does that text below???

From the 1080p/720p sets, it looks to me that the one on the right has more detail and is 1080p while the one on the left is 720p. If that is true then I can certainly tell.

I agree. The picture on the right is more clear than the left. I can also notice better darks from the right. Funny about their "Unofficial Theme" of LCDs larger than 42 inches... I just got a 46 XD

the one on the right looks lots clearer. I dont know if its possible to tell the difference between 1080p and 720p when looking at a photo of them on my lcd screen. I also dont know if the things i noticed were because the one on the left seems to have reflections on the screen, or if the one on the right is just more in focus or some other reason. But it sure does look better.

I may not be able to tell the difference from your picture, but sure as sh*t i can tell once i plug my PC into it for use as a monitor!
