Playskool and Creative give birth to a healthy baby MP3 player
Considering that it has been made explicitly clear that iPods are not meant to be eaten or chewed on, the popular DAP is pretty much ruled out as a contender for the ears of our wee young ones. Thankfully Hasbro-subsidiary Playskool and Creative have teamed up to make sure that baby Apple isn't left out of the loop (you could be missing a key demographic, Steve). The "Made For Me" line of MP3 players is pretty scarce on details, but what we do know is that it comes preloaded with 50 songs, has a voice recorder, and can be used with other appropriately labeled "Made For Me" toys (sounds familiar). The device should be available come fall and is expected to retail for about $80. While we'd personally just stick a stereo in our kid's room and call it a day, we will reserve judgement and leave the parenting to the parents.[Via Shiny Shiny]

Could someone help me on how to keep this thing keep going???I got it for my nephew for his birthday and he loves it we just can't figure out how to keep it going on to the next song , when i got it there was no instructions in the box i bought it at walmart !
That thing is clearly evil.. just look at its eyes....
Not forgetting the tribal stripes under those evil eyes...
That there is one baby that does not have to worry about being snatched.
Did someone give that thing a wedgie? It looks like the waistband of its tightey-whiteys was stretched over its bulbous nose.
Oh, the humiliation!
Geez - my boy just wants something like daddy's iPod that he CAN chew on - and daddy wants something that plays more than "Have You Seen the Muffin Man?" ad nauseam - is that really so much to ask? I promise you this - if he can't tell what kind of animal it is, he's not going to want to hear it play "Twinkle Twinkle." And a voice recorder? So that freakshow can seem to speak in Mommy's voice? I just don't have the dough for that kind of therapy.
creepy...
its just a mater of time until it drops the f-bomb
I bought this for my 14 month old daughter. She loves it! She carries it around with her everywhere. It holds a lot of her favorite music and she enjoys just playing them over and over.
Alright...I admit that the image kills the product, it looks great without the crib cover. It is a really great product, imagine being able to listen to good music, rather than the awful canned music that always accompanies children's products. Without the cover it is cute and portable and kids love to tote it around and find their favorite music!
Here are some images without the creepy crib cover
