Nokia had a strong showing at this year's CES, coming to the table with the
N800 Internet Tablet, the
N93i, and the svelte, totally unexpected
N76. Our favorite part, though, might have been the
NFC demo -- Nokia really went all out to demo the capabilities of its
6131 NFC by showing movie posters, picture frames, and payment systems using the system. Heck, even the booth's inhabitants were tagged with their contact info.
Wow, that is one ugly lineup of phones. The RAZR compy is really lame too.

I'm not a big fan of these new photo galleries at Engadget (or Autoblog). First off, its just a bunch of pictures - where is the journalism? Where are the descriptions of the gadgets in the photos? How am I supposed to know what I'm looking at here? You were there - I wasn't. Sometimes there are little plaques next to the gadget that the vendor made up, but in most of these photos they are out of focus or the print is too small or the camera was too far away. Second, these photos are sized too large, or the page layout needs to be changed. The banner ad at the top of the screen makes it so half of the photo is hidden and the user has to scroll down to view the photo. Click, scroll, next photo, click, scroll, what is this gadget, or here is a row of new gadgets but we took the photo from so far away you can't tell what they are.... click, scroll.... Generally I'm a big Engadget fan, but I would prefer individual posts on all of these gadgets or something more detailed and informative - like a long post with the normal small photos with a short caption under it. Some of these photos aren't even facing the right way up.

umm.. the RAZR itself is really lame! What are you talking about?! I understand why Nokia made a phone that resembles the LOOK of a RAZR, eveyone wants a THIN phone, but have you compared the two operating systems? Its not even a challenge. Nokia wins tenfold. Motorola software cant even keep up with fast texting. They need to stop making so many new phones and fix the crap they are installing on the inside.
